Examines the whole spectrum of benefits that derive from an individual's employed status. Presents a basic theoretical foundation for evaluating the quality, cost, and desirability of mandated benefits. Views discretionary benefits as part of an employer's total package of compensation, and therefore as a cost attributable to labor.
