I serien" WW2 Fact Files" behandles her krydserens rolle i den 2. verdenskrigs søkrigsførelse. Krydserens plads er mellem den hurtige men forholdsvis kortrækkende jager og slagskibet. Med indførelsen at Støtteskibene og de kommende store fregatter indføres i øvrigt i Danmark orlogsskibe med de karakteristika, som tidligere lette krydsere havde. Samtlige allierede krydserklasser gennemgås, men italienske og tyske krydsere er desværre ikke behandlet.
