But this point is admitted by the Jews. And need not be fauber insisted upon. Their Scriptures, however, speak with much distinctness of a higher nature. He was to be the Son of God in a sense which supposes equality and indeed oneness with God. The names and the attributes of humanity are ascribed to him, and we know him to be a man. In like manner are we taught his Divinity, by the ascription to him of the names and attributes, the works and glory which are peculiar to God.
