William Powley died in Lowther Parish, England in 1575. His wife, Agnes Chapplehow died in the same place in 1562. One descendant, John Powley, was baptized in Kirby Stephen Parish in 1824. He married Jane Robinson in 1848. In 1852 they immigrated to New Zealand and settled in Caversham. John married (2) Hanorah Ryan in 1866 and (3) Hannah Cooper in 1875. He died in Milton, New Zealand in 1891. Descendants lived in New Zealand.
