Description

Living with the daily torment of desperately trying to forget her father's incestuous nightly visits to her bedroom, and a brutal attack she suffered at the hands of her best friend's brother, Attorney at Law, Esteria Arie Shaw believed she had finally laid to rest past sins committed against her as a child. However, when her teenaged daughter is killed in a tragic car accident, Esteria's life begins to virtually spiral out of control. She goes from believing she had conquered her past and humble beginnings, marrying the man of her dreams and acquiring a life of wealth and splendor, to risking it all through her quest for vengeance against the man she holds directly responsible for her daughter's recent death. Moreover, an unwilling participant in the travesty against Esteria, her lifelong friend and business partner Stephanie Denise Boudreaux, born into a life of wealth and privilege, devotes her life to trying to make up for her part in the sins committed against Esteria by her brother. However, as Esteria descends downward Stephanie falls with her, into a life full of death, depression, and compulsive behaviors that threaten their relationship, their law firm, and their very own sanity. As the skeletons begin to tumble from their closets, inflicting more pain and disaster on everyone around them, both women find that they must honestly open up their hearts and souls to each other if they are to have a fighting chance for survival.
