After a devastating divorce, with no help from family members, on either side, they found themselves thrust into a role usually reserved for adults-providing the economic and emotional stability necessary to keep the family together. Their childhood and adolescence are filled with wondrous, hilarious, and heart-wrenching adventures as they struggle to survive and triumph over life's harsh realities, and survive their birth, their circumstances, and their parents.
