The text has a large number of short chapters accompanied by many illustrations, colour photographs, and diagrams (single or two–colour) and supported by summaries and headings. In this new edition each chapter is now prefaced by a ′key points′ section. Because this is a clinical text written for those who already [should] have a significant understanding of the field, theory and pathophysiology are only included to support a particular clinical insight. This second edition has also added co–authors: Ronald Dahl, Professor Kristian Aarhus, Dr Soren Pedersen (a paediatrician in Kolding), and Professor Kristian Thestrup–Pederson (a dermatologist in Aarhusto). Moreover, the ENT expertise of the original author (Dr Niels Mygind) has been enhanced by his re–training as a chest physician. As a result of these additions, the book provides broader expert coverage in the same successful format.
