This documentation of the South Australian Country Arts Trust's waterworks project presents artwork and writings on the theme of water. Issues addressed include survival in the desert through water capture and conservation, preservation of cultural monuments such as dew tanks relating to the State's pioneer developments, settlement of arid regions through water pipeline schemes and ecological balance, environmental degradation of the Murray River, and sustainability in relation to farming and mining practices.
