Description

This report is based on three diaries of Margaret Pennefather Stukely Gray, daughter of Father of Confederation John Hamilton Gray and wife of Artemas Lord, a prominent businessman and federal civil servant. The first diary covers 1863, the second 1876, and the third 1890. An introduction describes Margaret Gray Lord's life and the events happening at the time of the writing, and notes are given for each part of the diary. An appendix includes a story about the history of Prince Edward Island, written by Margaret Gray for her grandson.
