Description
This paper presents a policy on wildlife management that was developed by federal, provincial and territorial governments, aboriginal organizations, wildlife professionals, nongovernmental organizations, and the general public. The policy was based on guidelines which were reviewed and evaluated in 1988 at the Federal-Provincial/Territorial Wildlife Conference. The wildlife in this policy refers to all wild organisms and their habitats and is intended to support an ecosystem approach to conservation.
