James J. Ingwersen: Captured Moments In a Painter's Life reveals the painter's raw and deeply poetic approach to his process and subjects. The book, a monograph by Karen Davidson Seward with an excerpt by Miller Art Museum Executive Director Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, chronicles Ingwersen's long, productive career as a portrait artist from humble beginnings as a child growing up in suburban Chicago.
