The book reviews in detail restocking information, Louisiana based turkey research, and specific turkey management for each habitat region of Louisiana. It examines the science of wild turkeys in detail and offers information to aid in its hunting. The author, a turkey hunter for more than 50 years, is a wildlife biologist and forester with more than 34 years of professional experience. He also served as Louisiana's top wild turkey biologist during his last years before retiring from the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries.
