The Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics develops priorities for collecting enhanced data on children and youth, improve the reporting and dissemination of info. on the status of children to the policy community and the general public, and produce more complete data on children at the State and local levels. The Forum fosters coordination, collaboration, and integration of Fed. efforts to collect and report data on conditions and trends for children and families. This illustrated report is the 7th in an annual series prepared by the Forum agencies. It presents 25 key indicators on important aspects of children's lives, and data on 9 contextual measures that describe changes in the characteristics of the population as well as in children's family settings and living reports.
