This book provides resources and practical ideas for classroom teachers, administrators and principals, curriculum supervisors and program developers, and ethnomathematicians and researchers who wish to develop a deeper understanding of the mathematics and pedagogy of the indigenous peoples of North America. Chapters 1-6 focus on the theoretical foundation that undergirds indigenous ethnomathematics. Chapter 7 addresses the issue of portfolio assessment.
