This publication presents the results of the second workshop on reservoir fisheries in Asia, held in October 1990. The major areas of reservoir fisheries research discussed were limnology, changes that follow impoundment, fisheries management and modelling, and culture techniques. A total of 25 presentations encompassing various aspects of reservoir fisheries are included and of these, nine deal with practices in the People's Republic of China. In addition to the papers on various aspects of reservoir fisheries management presented by researchers from the 11 participating countries, summaries of the discussion sessions and a set of recommendations made by the workshop participants are presented.
