Historically men have led women in dancing. No more. This is the story of lead sharing. In March 2020 the concept of lead sharing was ignited, sparking a revolution in partner dancing. Using jive as a basis it was proven a success after considerable development during the summer that followed. By the onset of winter, it became apparent that it offered both men and women an opportunity to expand their dancing commensurably. Whilst it had roots in defeating sexism and misogyny it became clear that it created significant benefits for men too. Read the story of how it came about and the implications for dance.
