Post World War 2, the 15 to 20 years following revealed multiple compensations of post-war peace, pyschedelia, op art, mini-skirts, The Beatles - and the notoriously publicised sex scandal of Government Minister, Lord Profumo. These extraordinary events all coincided in over a 15 year period of peace after the end of the 2nd World War in 1945, when both allied Covert Services of the U.S and the USSR were rendered almost static. Additionally, the onset of 'flower-power' directly contrasted with the sharp eruption of Space exploration, when both Major Powers entered into a new emerging sub-world of licentious technology to claim the First Manned Lunar Landing, consequently commissioning both these Services back into action. As a result, operatives abroad now faced the sudden domino effect of shifting loyalties and friendships, both within their own ranks and on opposing sides. You see, with over 15 years of assimilation, their families had shared BOTH side's weddings, birthdays, christenings, and socials, in fact there was very little else, BUT SUDDENLY YOU NO LONGER KNEW WHO WERE YOUR FRIENDS - AND WHO WERE NOT! * * * * * AS THE AUTHOR . . .
