Nicolaus Henckell aka Nicholas Jenkins, son of Johann Hermann Henkel and Anna Elizbaeth Otto, was born 21 March 1755 in Treysa, Germany. He married Elizabeth Robinson in 1783 in Jamaica, New York. They had ten children. He died in 1823 on Prince Edward Island. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.
Island of Saint John is now Prince Edward Island.
