Description
Elizabeth stands at the fresh grave of father-in-law, Devon Douglas as her husband offers his prayers to the winds. Her mind wanders back to where it all started and as she turns toward the river below the bluff the flash back begins. In the spring of 1807, Elizabeth Kincaid and her family set out on the Ohio River with a few others in search of a new life on the frontier. They encountered an Indian hunting party and began firing. Soon she and the other women were taken prisoners, their men slain.
