Description
Two friends and their classmates are given a school assignment after a field trip to an art museum. The assignment is to learn about their community and then to create a masterpiece.Hector and Amanda walk through their community with a red wagon, collecting materials for their masterpiece. The two children enlist the help of friends and neighbors to create their work of art. The two friends work together, just like Ms. Berger, Mr. Todd, the mayor, Ms. Lopez and other members of their community they meet on their journey.Included at the end of the book are suggested learning activities for teachers, students and families that encourage active participation and creative thinking.
