Pal Parker spent more than 30 years photographing NASCAR as well as other forms of motorsports. This collection of images tells a part of the story of the golden years of stock car racing. It has formal and candid portraits and action photographs of the stars and the behind the scenes people who made the day to day business of racing work. The book contains over 300 images as well as stories that tell the who, what, where and when of that early era when the legends of NASCAR racing began. Pal Parker Archives was created to preserve the approximately 500,000 images created over Pal's career. The archive is one of the last large privately held collections of racing photographs. It is used to supply images for books, magazines and television.
