Food for Language is a recipe book and collection of narratives with four main categories (appetizers, mains, sides and desserts) shared by MCIS Language Services and Sandgate Shelter staff. The collection captures the dynamic relationship between food and personal narratives while reminding the audience about how food transcends culture and contributes to Canada's multicultural fabric and global citizenship. The proceeds of the book will be applied towards the revival of the Sandgate Shelter Community Kitchen program (www.foodforlanguage.com).
