The purpose of this study was to examine the ethnic variations in service outcomes of foster youth who participated in a new Wraparound program in Ventura County. Two years of case record data (N = 32) were extracted which included goal attainment scores as measured on the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS). Descriptive analyses revealed there are some notable variations in how youth of different ethnicities were achieving their established wraparound program goals. Most importantly, academic performance goals were not met by Latino and White participants; African Americans and Samoans were meeting this goal. Results demonstrated other performance goals involving substance abuse and self-harmful behavior areas were met by Latinos and African Americans and not by Whites. Implications for child welfare social workers working with Wraparound include how there could be improved coordination and communication with school social workers in order to help these youth meet their academic goals.
