Built at a cost of over ten thousand pounds, it could hardly be rivaled through out the whole province of Massachusetts Bay - and overshadowing, with its grandeur, the humble home of the fisher folk, no wonder it became to them the Mansion, and the Lee Mansion it has always been, the pride of the whole town.
