Marvin Nathan, of Philadelphia, offered the invocation, after which Talcott Williams, LL.D., delivered the consecration address. Dr. Williams said in part: These trees will remain when we shall pass, and shall have done our share to add to the treasure of life the lessons of nature. Each tree shall stand as the Roman Emperor spoke of the deeds of good men standing - they shall stand in the sun and feel the touch of nature and bear the fruit appointed to them without any hope of reward.
