Description

Within the defence domain there is an increasing move towards an integrated approach to the research and application of human factors (HF). Defence HF considers not just the specification, design and development of the user-centric aspects of the system, it also takes into account other processes, such as training, personnel skills and availability, and other organisational issues. 'The Ashgate Companion to Human Factors in Defence' draws extensively upon the work undertaken since 2003 by the Human Factors Integration Defence Technology Centre (HFI DTC) and the Haldane-Spearman Consortium (HSC).
