"Heart Transplant" is the second book of poems which Doris believes is more powerful than the first one because in Jeremiah 17:9 God said "the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked." Doris remembers when she started on this walk with God. She thought as long as she looked good on the outside it would make her feel good on the inside. Yes, it did for a moment. She also could not understand how when she wanted to do the right thing she could not. God through the Holy Spirit revealed to Doris through one of her poems how she would reach for people, places or things to change how she felt. This only gave her a temporary fix which reminded her of what the drugs and alcohol did. For those of you who have not read her first book "The Power of God" this book reveal how God delivered her from drugs and alcohol. In this book" Heart Transplant" Doris is asking you take a journey with her through her poems how God is continuing to repair her heart for the glorious celebration of the coming of His son who is king of kings and Lord of Lords.
