Part One: "The Three Cord' series starts with Nicholas, a Russian in the mid 1800's. His family, and girlfriend, Natasha, were killed during an attack on a Jewish town. The night of the attack, Natasha had given Nicholas a three strand cord, that he always wore around his neck. Nick and his friend Alex leave the country looking for a better life. While passing through England they rescue a young girl from working in a whorehouse. When the three land in Africa, they rescue a young colored slave named Sam. These four young people journey to the center of Africa. This is the story of their adventure in this wild and beautiful land. Part Two: In mid 1800's the potato famine killed thousands, and destroyed the beauty of Scotland. This led to Maureen and her sisters answering an advertisement for, "Brides needed in Africa". While traveling through Africa, they briefl y cross paths with the Russian boys and learn about the Three Cords'.
