John G. Neihardt was, and is, a widely known poet, author and literary critic. The list of his achievements is a long one of sterling quality. Less known are the paranormal events that he and his wife, Mona Martinsen Neihardt, experienced at intervals during their lives.Dr. Neihardt crossed to the Other Side in 1973. Shortly afterward, he joined his wife, Lakota holy man Nicholas Black Elk and three others to make it clear that death is more a change in state of being than a cessation of life. The group went on to channel The Great Adventure through the youngest Neihardt daughter, Alice Thompson. In it, they relate just what it's like on the Other Side, what is necessary to "go there happy," the adventures they have shared there and their predictions of may come to be if humanity continues on the road it now follows. Throughout the book Neihardt and his group expound on concept of universality that he used here and continues to develop and use there.
