Why Compromise? Twenty-first-century living causes us all to compromise in some way. A wife may compromise quality time with her husband while he is treating an important client to dinner in order to secure a huge deal. A husband will compromise season tickets of his favorite sports team by surprising his wife with a trip to France to celebrate their many years together. Children may even compromise being popular in order to get accepted into Harvard or Yale. In some way shape or form, we all compromise. However, when it comes to compromising the commandments of God for selfish short-term gratification, Why Compromise? In society today, there are two different structures of life: The Carnal Christian and The Christian Life. Many people today focus, dwell, aspire, love, live, abide, and obey the Carnal life. Focused on the latest fashions, the newest trend, being America's Idol and the next Top Model people lose sight of the importance of life. While there is nothing wrong with fine dining and fancy living, when it comes with a price like your very soul, what was really gained? Men are determined to bring in the six-figure income, drive the newest CLS 550 Mercedes Benz, and sail across the Atlantic Ocean with college buddies and babes in bikinis. Driven by dissatisfaction due to commercial advertisements, women subject themselves to numerous and dangerous plastic surgeries and extreme diets to become a size 1 or less and value their self-worth according to what the scale says. Unknown to parents, children, teens, and young adults are at the mercy of their peers as they do all that they can to meet the standards of acceptance set by those in the limelight. When questioned about knowing or having a relationship with God, these carnal-minded people respond with such brainless answers like "My dad is a pastor" or "My grandmother has a relationship with God." So yes, I know God. "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened" (Romans 1:21). By living in the last hour of the last days, the importance for the carnal-minded, godless sinner to receive salvation and cease from acknowledging God only, and live according to His holy standards is beyond crucial, and it is critical to their eternal destination. On the other hand, the world is filled "to some degree" with those living, having faith, and believing in the Way, the Truth, and the Life: Jesus Christ. Ex drug addicts, ex-murderers, ex-cons, ex gang members, ex-alcoholics, ex sex offenders, and ex-sinners are coming into the surpassing knowledge of Jesus Christ. "As God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience" (Colossians 3:12). Walking as children of light in total darkness, temptation, doubt, fear, sin, and ungodly desires situations present themselves on a regular basis. As believers, we are to bear the fruit of righteousness and contend with anyone "in love" for the faith we have. However, without proper Holy Ghost filled believers bearing fruit of No Compromise in their lives, how will those lost and destined for great punishment and everlasting separation from God recognize the Christian from the Carnal? Being a Christian today is NOT hard, but it is NOT easy. Persecution awaits us at every turn. And because of the hardships we face, the Word says: "Some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons" (1 Timothy 4:1). We are all looking for answers: every nation, country, ethnic background, man, woman, boy, and girl. All are in need of answers. The quest for these answers lie in the decisions we make. The foundation of No Compromise is to help, guide, and instruct you, "the reader," to make the right choice and say No Compromise to live a life worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. "God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore,
