Presque tout de suite apr�s son d�but et � la suite de la Guerre de S�cession, Yellowstone est devenu la principale destination pour les touristes dans l'Am�rique Occidental. Avant 1900, c'�tait devenu une r�ussite touristique et aujourd'hui c'est une r�serve de la biosph�re mondiale et un site du patrimoine mondial.
