Description

To survive in this rough new world, Malik, Beckley, Emma, and Wendell try to avoid cities and stay on the move. But when a winter storm sets in, they decide to risk finding shelter rather than freeze. A friendly coalition in Des Moines, Iowa, welcomes the group into their community. But what's that stench? Nearby, a rival gang is desperate to find food for the pigs they raise for trading. It seems they'll feed the hogs whatever-or whomever-they can get their hands on. Can Malik and company's survival skills help them and their new allies when human lives become the city's most dangerously desired resource?
