This is a book about the adoption of Native American children as we understand and experience it. This is not a study of every aspect of adoption: there are hundreds of fine books and articles available to the reader with a general interest in the subject. Rather, this is an introduction to adoption as it touches our Native American children today. Those of us contemplating adoption, those of us who have already adopted, and those of us who wish to encourage and support someone who is adopting: this guidebook is for all of us.
