Wine, Food & Friends is the history of the Seattle Chapter of the Enological Society of the Pacific Northwest. This organization began in 1975 and introduced the Pacific Northwest to wine appreciation, food and wine pairing, and all aspects of winegrape growing and wine production. The Society held an annual judging of Northwest wines that helped the Northwest wine industry achieve national and international recognition. The Seattle Chapter held monthly meetings, an annual International Wine Fair, Northwest Wine Festival and Regional Dinners, all produced by member volunteers who formed the backbone of the organization. Wine, Food & Friends includes details of the organization activities and listings of medal winning wines from the 30 years of wine judgings that took place from 1976 until 2006. The Seattle Chapter closed in 2012 after almost four decades of serving wine lovers of the Seattle area.
