She is shocked at the creature who attacks the king's gaurds. She is shocked that the same creature does not attack her. Instead, the blood stained creature gives her a piece of jewelry. What could this mean? She is even more confused. Sines knows about his curse and hates the day he sees Amber. It is clear to him that she is his curse, no matter how much he wants to deny it. But when Amber starts to grow powerful and things around him crumble uncontrollably, he is faced with the truth. His day to suffer has come. And Ganois' two surviving sons will make sure of that. Their baby sister was also killed by Sines' actions. He must die! The Empress is an example of what happens when you let your anger and hate take over your actions. Punishment is what waits and grows for you when you commit the ultimate wrong. Kill a man and his family who only helped people to make yourself feel better. The Empress takes care of her beloved empire and her emperor. Half human and half devil.
