It used to be that news reporting was objective. Journalism was a respected field and one could make a name for themselves by being fair and impartial. That was when the world moved a lot slower. That was when there was little competition. In today's world, those that fail to get an audience get squished. There are tabloids, web apps, and blogs that will tell us everything we want to know about absolutely nothing-at record speeds! It reminds me of the speeder on the freeway that flies by you like you're not moving-in a hurry to get nowhere, but it's fun to complain about it. May be the issue with news today is it's too personal, too full of the gory details. Hopefully you'll find this book a good escape from constant bombardment.
