Los argumentos presentados en este volumen debe ser considerado el resultado de más de diez años de trabajo de búsqueda e investigación en textos filosóficos de Giordano Bruno y constituyen la concentración final de la tesis de doctorado en filosofía defendida –con el mismo título y argumento– en la Universidad de Padua (22 de febrero del 2002). Este trabajo toma parte inicial con la elaboración de la tesi di grado, dedicada a la definición de la estructura de Ars memoriae junto al De umbris idearum (La meta-logicidad del Ars memoriae bruniano); seguido a través de la redefinición del significado global del mismo De umbris idearum y la continuación del análisis y comentario del texto sucesivo, el Cantus Circaeus, con la intención de reunir en un comentario analítico unitario la primera tríade de las obras brunianas (el De umbris idearum, el Cantus Circaeus y la comedia filosófica Candelaio); para llegar finalmente al análisis de los textos que constituyen la antología de los Dialoghi Italiani. ). La conclusión del trabajo analítico sobre textos morales ha podido mostrar e indicar la presencia de una articulación racional de tipo teológico, considerada fundamental para la estructuración de la entera reflexión bruniana. Por ello la continuación de la investigación exploratoria de los textos metafísicos-cosmológicos ha podido apelar a una guía cierta y segura, que ha sido ulteriormente confirmada con el proseguir del análisis de los mimos textos. Por lo tanto la idea de construir un proyecto de reelaboración y explicación de la filosofía italiana de Giordano Bruno, basado en la aplicación general de la estructura teológica, llega a ser a cierto punto imperante, con la disposición de un plan de progreso del material analítico ya reunido, que previera en primer lugar la concentración en las conclusiones metafísico-cosmológicas de la confrontación con la tradición neoplatónica-aristotélica –conclusion
