Description
Even though Damien Barlow is an atheist, the marine biologist begins praying when he is told to prepare for a crash landing by the copilot of the small plane he is on, along with five others, headed from St. Lawrence Island to Alaska. Seconds after he tucks his head between his knees and waits for the plane to ditch into the Bering Sea, Damien sees a bright light and immediately loses consciousness. When Damien awakens, he soon learns that the plane has crashed on to a tropical island and the pilot is the only casualty. With no idea whether a rescue will ever come, Damien and the rest of the survivors must now determine how to safely coexist, find food and shelter, and accept their fate. As circumstances lead Damien to meet and fall in love with fellow passenger Pilar, he is unaware that his journey is just beginning. After he sees another intense light and wakes up in a different part of the world, fate once again leads him in an uncertain direction, where he must search for answers he may not be prepared to accept. Stranded shares the gripping tale of a marine biologists metaphysical journey to the truth after his plane crashes on a tropical island.
