Born in Sioux City, Iowa to parents living in Nebraska at the time, Shane went on to live in eight different states by the time he was 16 years old. Although raised in a back-slidden Seventh-day Adventist home, he attended church schools until completing the 8th grade. In this autobiography, Shane takes the reader along with him through his rebellious teenage years, into 12-step recovery programs, overseas in the Army, onto college campuses, through his youthful romances and into a career in construction management. He shares the joys of a happy marriage, the birth of two children, a successful career and dealing with tragedy.
