Brief Meditations When the Church Is Gathered Around the Lord's Table provides enough material to fill a year with fresh inspirations for the Lord's Supper. In his career as a Christian Church minister, Gary G. Jenkins was tasked with the creation of Communion Meditations as a basic component of worship in all churches of the Campbellite Movement. Most of these meditations should be shared in no more than 60 seconds. This does several things. (a) It enables the one charged with this responsibility to memorize without great difficulty what will be said. It can then be shared without obviously reading the material. (b) It suggests a thought, but leaves the greater burden of participation upon each individual Christian. The Lord's Table is indeed then the center of our attention. These brief Communion Meditations are shared in the hope that they can meet a need and direct our attention afresh to "Jesus Christ - bleeding - upon the earth He made." By His blood our sins are covered. A testimony "until He comes again."
