The growth of technology applications for restaurants has grown exponentially in the past decade. Identifying what a restaurant needs to adopt in order to positively impact the guest, the employee and the bottom line is becoming increasingly more confusing and difficult. This case explores some of the key technological applications for restaurants and their uses. Upon completion of the case study, students will be able identify a broad range of restaurant technologies and understand the relationship between technology and business performance. They will also learn how restaurant managers/owners make decisions regarding technology applications in their operations.
