Description

Bridgeport neighborhood is the home of five Chicago mayors. It is 1947. Gabriella, insatiable wife of Martin's older brother Jimmy, the heir apparent to the mob supported liquor monopoly seeks acceptance by Chicago's elite at any cost. On failing to kill or dissuade James, Martin terrorizes James fiance and her four year old son. James and his brother Adam, a Catholic Priest are forced to kill Martin to protect the secret, the Church, themselves, James' fiancee and her son. Jimmy and Gabriella use and ultimately assist James as their interests merge. The Church remains quiet. New and untried psychotherapy approaches are tried on the molested altar boys. Postwar Chicago mob rule, patronage and corruption force our heroes to form unconventional alliances. Martin dies, but . . ."
