Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (February 27, 1807 - March 24, 1882) was an American poet, who achieved wide-spread fame by the mid-1800s. He was a very prolific writer of poetry. He wrote poems that continue to this very day to be the favorites of many people, such as Paul Revere's Ride and many more.
