Eoin is a young man of both human and elven descent. Shortly after finding the first individual that does not judge him based on his heritage, the town in which he lives rises up against him for a crime of which he is innocent. His mother attempts to defend her teen-aged son, and is murdered by the townsfolk. With no other choice, Eoin flees to find his elven father somewhere in the forest of Shadowwood. The dwarves are embroiled in a civil war after the death of their king, and a group of orcs are lying in wait to lay siege to the divided kingdom. Through a chain of events, Eoin and a group of unlikely companions, discover the plot and attempt to warn the dwarves against the coming attack before it's too late.
