Description
David is an inmate at a federal camp in Florida. Seven years ago, he was arrested on his return from Switzerland faced charges of conspiracy to counterfeit. The jury found him guilty and sentenced him to ten years in prison. He once had the chance to be freed, but a vindictive judge overturned his appeal. Now David only has eighteen months to go. Over the course of his incarceration, David has written many books. His most recent is a novel called The Diary of a Prime Minister of Israel. In the story, David is the prime minister. He successfully wins a global war and meets the woman of his dreams, Sarah. His character eventually retires to spend the remainder of his life with his loving wife. Of course, the war and Sarah are mere figments of David’s imagination—until he gets hit on the head in prison. When he wakes, David is no longer able to differentiate between fiction and reality. He doesn’t understand why he’s behind bars. And where is the love of his life? He now lives within a vicious cycle, trapped not only in jail but in his own mind as well. Will David ever find a way to escape?
