This book is a nonfiction collection of essays and poems that address Christian theology and Christian living, covering a variety of topics related to faith, maturity, and discipleship. On each page, the author's gospel vision and passion for helping readers understand biblical texts and mature in discipleship is clear. The author targets the sin of self-centeredness and the importance of obedience to finding intimacy with God. She also extols the joy of a true love relationship with the Savior. Both readers new to the Christian faith and those who have lived as Christians all their lives will be well served by the engaging variety of content that includes personal reflections and stories, exposition of biblical passages, and poignant poetry. The addition of direct Scripture quotations also adds biblical authority to the author's own ideas. The writings are arranged in order of general themes which assists the reader to go more deeply into each spiritual area. The short essays and poems, each supported by Scripture quotations, can be used as daily meditations. The book encourages the reader to seek his or her own spiritual journey and helps lay the groundwork of ways to move closer to God.
