This CD contains a 33 page report, appendix, and plate. This study presents the results of fault-trench excavations near Santaquin, Utah, and includes discussion of (1) previous paleoseismic investigations on the Nephi segment, (2) the geology of the Santaquin trench site and excavations (3) paleoseismic results, including the timing of the most recent surface-faulting earthquake, fault displacement and slip rate, and surface-faulting earthquake recurrence and (4) implications for the segmentation of the southern Wasatch fault zone.
This is the youngest surface rupture on the entire Wasatch fault zone, which occurred about a century or less before European settles arrived in Utah.
This 37 page report presents the results of a study of the Sevier fault in Utah.
William R. Lund, Bill D. Black. Unit 8 FLUVIAL DEPOSIT Sandy gravel with silt: Grayish brown (10YR 5/2);
The Mystery Hill cone is on the fault footwall on top of Black Ridge (the Hurricane Cliffs) near Pintura. Surprisingly, the chemistries of the two cones do not correlate, nor do they correlate with any of the basalt flows in the area ...
Trench 3 contains three zones of concentrated deformation. Fault zone 1 (FZ1 on figure 28) consists of two normal faults that underlie 8-meter-high Scarp G at the east end of the trench. The eastern fault has 3 meters of throw on unit ...

The purpose of the review was to (1) critically evaluate the accuracy and completeness of the paleoseismictrenching data, particularly regarding earthquake timing and displacement, (2) where the data permit, assign consensus, preferred ...
This report presents the results of a preliminary evaluation of the East Bear Lake (EBF) and West Bear Lake (WBF) fault zones, which bound the east and west sides, respectively, of the Bear Lake Valley.
