Description

The year is 2026 and Britain is at the forefront of scientific research into quantum mechanics. Following the discovery of faster-than-light neutrino particles at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva in 2011, Professor Fenton Jones and his team have finally completed the world's first time machine. a The technology now at Britain's fingertips is truly astronomical. Technology can be brought back from the future to cure all diseases. DNA from animals long extinct can be brought forward to repopulate the world. In addition, the availability of advanced defense technology transforms Britain into the world's new superpower. Meanwhile zero-point energy generation plants hold the potential of eradicating all pollution.a a The United States of America on the other hand, is broke, bankrupt with a thirty-five trillion dollar mountain of debt. But they have a spy inside the British Time Machine Program and want it for themselves. The Americans see it as their avenue to riches beyond avarice and will stop at nothing to steal the time machine; including a nuclear war with Britain. Will the British government, with the help of Professor Jones, manage to stop them before time itself runs out?Although he was born in the County of Essex, author Philip J Bryant has lived most of his live in Portsmouth, England. Time's Arrow was partially inspired by Portsmouth and the heavy royal navy presence in the city. Philip works in the security industry by day.
