Description
A serendipitous compilation of poems and whispers of dreams aroused after meandering through Europe. This is a text of modern poetic expression written in Chinese by a young man who converses in German daily, and sometimes conducts mass in Latin. Included are a few quatrains modeled on traditional Chinese verse (Book of Poetry)—as stated in one of my own lines, "My body is a frail theater / Ancient Greek tragedies, with the rhythm of German / Strike my skeleton, within my entrails / Using the characters of China / Transmuting into poetic resonance." The cerulean blue of Malta, the sacred temples of the Vatican, the mosques of Istanbul, the beer festival of Munich, the notes of Vienna, the shores of Mallorca: each of these, and all of these, constitute my poetic landscape, provide the material for my verse; each one forms my lines of poetry, and they are all my poems.
