Description

We are all graceful in our pain. We are all beautifully broken yet masterfully brave. Success is the warmest place to hide, therefore, this journals point is to bring you out of that comfort and de-program what your brain has been teaching itself to do every time there is one more trauma, one more hit, one more soul wound. You are going to take that old car "down off of the blocks" (Shelton, 2019) and begin working on it from scratch. Remember, if you hold onto the thoughts, they begin to take over. They take you, you don't take them. Worry is circular and it'll keep spinning. So, get it out. This journal is for you. Use it. Let the words flow. Those in need of something more than just talk. No punctuation, no grammar, just flow. Take deep breaths and release whatever it is. No fear, no judgment, no repercussions. This is just you, your pen and some paper. No one said this is going to be easy. Let's be real. None of us expected to be here, or there in that place of darkness not many wish to speak of, let alone write about. I won't promise you will be healed or that some epiphany will happen on day 16, 17 or ever because that would be lying. You get what you put in. If you put the work in, I can promise that the journey to healing WILL begin. Something WILL be sparked within you. Writing is different for everyone. I am going to challenge you each day to write in this journal. COMPLETE it! Trying won't cost you a thing, however, not trying will get you nowhere but where you already are. One day before you realize you will have completed your journal. Thirty sessions of writing, thirty moments of raw honesty with you, complete. If at any point you stumble or cannot seem to move forward, begin again. There is no harm in starting over; there is the harm in giving up. We all fail. Success is getting back up and trying again, every, single, day. Show up for yourself if no one else.
